Commitments

A ceremony like this can take any form you wish, and I encourage couples to express their own philosophies and values when creating their special ceremony.
A commitment ceremony may resemble a wedding without the legal component, or it can be a heartfelt promise between same-sex couples to share their lives together. Whatever the form, each ceremony is unique and beautiful in its own way.
Here in Tasmania, same-sex couples are also able to formally register their relationship with the Tasmanian Registrar of Births, Deaths and Marriages — a meaningful option for those who wish to do so.
